12 Year Problem Discrete Math – calculating the average percentage.?
After 1000 rolls of a normal six faces of the 6 had 17.2% of rolls. The rolls were and continued after 3000 rolls 6 had occurred on 16.8% of the rolls. What percentage of 2000 led to last roles one 6? IE. The average of the two. I tried just adding to the time and dividing by 2 (average) which came to 17 years. The answer the book gives is of 16.6%. Help?
First how many rolls were the first six in 1000 and throughout 3000. Then, subtract the number of rolls of the first 1000 of all … This will give you the number of 6s in the last 2000. Divide this number by 2000 … and this will give you the percentage.
