
7th grade math problem? Metric conversions ……..?
The dimensions of a saltwater tank to a city aqaurium are 2.5 m X 3.4 m X 1.2 m. (m = m and X = time to multiply) s. I did it b. I've done c. If the tank were completely filled with water, what is the mass of water in kilograms? (I just need the answer to C)
To find the mass of water Simply multiply the volume by density. The volume of the tank is 2.5mx 3.4mx 1.2m = 10.2 m³. The density of salt water that varies depending on the degree of salinity, depth and temperature, but 1027 kg / m³ is reasonable for the oceans to the surface. See the link below. Thus, the mass 10.2 m³ x 1027 kg / m³ = 10,475.4 kg
