KenKen is the hottest since the Sudoku puzzle craze. It combines the logic puzzle Sudoku with the arithmetic. You need to add, subtract, multiply and divide to arrive at the figures given in the puzzle KenKen.

In KenKen, like Sudoku, there is a grid of 4×4, 6×6, 8×8 or 9×9 cells. This means that the grid has 16, 36, 64 or 81 cells. The headache may actually be even more important, but they are really advanced solvers. In both kinds of puzzles, you must have all the numbers in a row. In other words, if a row has 4 cells, as in a 16-puzzle grid, you must use the numbers 1-4 in each row and each column. No figures may be excluded row or column, or it may be duplicates in a row or column.

Up This is quite easy to understand. If you look at a puzzle, you can see what I mean in a second.

The skill diabolical KenKen, which sets it apart from Sudoku, is that:

• some groups of neighboring cells have a thick border around them. These groups are called "cages". Each cage has a number printed in it, with a sign operation.

• Cells in the cage must be filled with numbers rising to a given number. Say that the cage has two cells surrounded by a border of thick their number is 6, and the operation multiplication sign (x). Who tells you that you must find two numbers which multiply to 6.

May you be tempted said: "It's easy. The answer is 2 x 3! "But do not jump to conclusions! The answer might as well be 6 x 1. In addition, you know not right away which of the two cells on 2, 3, 6 or 1 belong in. You must find out by looking the other cages and narrowing your options.

It takes about two minutes to learn to KenKen, but it may take years to master. There is something for all levels of solvers.

The willingness of teachers of mathematics to address this puzzle and learn some strategies, then introduce the puzzles to their students. There are books very inexpensive KenKen and online sites where you can download free puzzles. One is title = "MathMojo Chronicles"> http://kenken.com

Once you have understood how KenKen really works, you'll learn about factoring, exponents, and mathematical logic. You do not need a workbook, and there are no classes (if the teacher is smart). Stress is the only strain your brain fresh, and you'll be developing that the brain with all KenKen puzzle you solve.

It is easy to get good at KenKen with some practice. The Nice thing about practice is that you will not be able to stop. KenKen is the most addictive puzzle around!

Imagine a student can improve his basic skills in mathematics without sheets, flash cards, cards, memorizing them by heart, or quizzes. Imagine that students love math like never before!

KenKen has been invented by Tetsuya Miyamoto, a Japanese math teacher who said: "I think if you give children good learning materials, they will think and learn and grow by themselves. "If you teach your child or your students with basic math KenKen they develop a lifelong love of mathematics, and you have done them a favor wonderful.
